Giacomo Giannelli is an award-winning Italian fine art photographer based in London.

Giannelli studied History of Art and Set Design at the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. His work combines a gift for storytelling with the purity and timelessness of the monochrome image and an intention to capture something of the mystery and symbolism at the heart of his subject – from the abstracted details of a flower to the experience of walking amongst wild goats and being up-close with horses. Shooting with camera in hand, Giannelli’s work is intimate and direct. Particularly concerned with capturing the essence of a mood or the passage of time, his practice is heavily influenced by Italian photographers of the Twentieth-century and often explores the idea of connection to one’s origins. His uncanny ability to recreate the sense of sounds and emotions experienced at a precise moment brings us as close as possible to the soul of his subject.
