Peter Burega's work has been described as possessing an embodiment of dualities: between organic and linear, man-made and nature, structure and amorphous, order and chaos; a clash between expressive abstracted energy and structured uniformity. Moreover, his work is ‘Turneresque’, with its suggestion of dramatic expansive skies and poignant filtrating light. The presence of this dichotomy is what defines Burega’s authorship and gives his compositions both their poetry and their strength.
'Crossing The Light Sublime' will be Peter Burega's first solo exhibition in London, and is directly following his annual solo exhibition at LewAllen Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico in October. The exhibition will feature various sized land and seascape oil paintings largely painted whilst he has been living in Sint Maartin during this year.
